Elections Update

One week after the election I can give you way more precise information about the outcome .. AND of course it could not be different (thats German I am sorry) about my family relations into the SLPP (Sierra Leonan Peoples Party).

First the main results:

43,5 % SLPP
42,7 % APC

With this result the Sierra Leonen people will go for a second election round at March 27th.

My first oppinion about the whole election topic was about:
I am going to accept every outcome and I am praying for peace, no troubles between the members of the different parties anyway who wins.

After getting in touch with Nyanga on Thursday I was able to connect our family trees in my mind.

My great uncle Peter was an important politician in Salone during the time of independance (1950-1960).

We got this book at home but know what I didn’t read a single page!
But it will be my every day lecture after I visit Dad easter!!!

And also my cousin Nyanga is working as a developement assistance in Africa.
At the moment she is living and working in Abidja, Ivory Coast.
And mmaybe there will be a big surprise the next months…
stay tuned!
